This mixed broadleaved woodland was planted about 3 years ago and is now well established. Originally agricultural grazing land, the trees were planted in shelters and guards at about 3 metre centres, but in a random pattern with groups and glades.

Trees species planted includes Oak, Ash, Birch, Alder, Willow, Beech, Poplar, Bird Cherry, and Sweet Chestnut. All the trees are growing well and should not require any further maintenance. A new owner will have the pleasure of watching these trees grow without any of the hard work and cost involved in planting and establishing them in the first place.

The land is gently north facing and has magnificent views over the Teifi valley. A perfect place to have a picnic and enjoy your piece of the Welsh countryside.

The soils are fine loams over slatey mudstone, and the fertility is well proven by the growth rates of the trees.

Travelling south out of the village of Llanybydder on the A485, just on the edge of the residential boundary turn left into a narrow (dead end) lane called Heol Glantren.

Continue down this road for about 1¼ miles to the end of the tarmac where it splits into two tracks. The right hand track is signed for Pandy Pond Farm. Take this right fork and the gate for Pant y Pond Mawr will be on your left in a few yards.

Please park carefully in the gateway where you will not be blocking the access track to the farm.
