Our experience is that most amenity woodland purchasers are cash buyers. However, some may prefer to raise finance for their woodland purchase. We suggest that there are three main routes to finance for this purpose:

  1. Re-mortgaging a residential property (your house).
  2. Taking out a separate mortgage on the woodland.
  3. Private finance arrangements.

It is likely that extending your home mortgage could be the least expensive option, but this can take some time to arrange. We have known many purchasers obtain mortgages on a woodland through the Ecological Building Society  and there is a private finance broker Pegasus Finance that can help you with a variety of finance arrangements.
